Welcome to the 2026-2027 Farmington STEAM Lottery page!

We know choosing Farmington STEAM Academy is an important decision for your family, and the lottery process can feel overwhelming. This page outlines everything you need to know—from creating or updating your SchoolMint parent account, to key application and lottery dates, to what happens if your child is offered a seat or placed on the waiting list.

Please review the timeline and eligibility requirements carefully before completing an application for each student. See our video tutorials at the bottom of this page for instructions on using SchoolMint to create parent accounts, add students, and complete applications.

Create or Update SchoolMint Parent Account Anytime at SchoolMint.
Monday, December 1, 2025, at 9:00 am: The application period opens. Add new students, update existing students, and fill out an application for EACH student in SchoolMint)
Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11:59 pm: Application period ends.
Thursday, December 11, 2025: The Lottery Drawing will be held.
Friday, December 12, 2025, by 4:00 pm: Lottery results will be published. Seat offer emails are sent via SchoolMint, and waiting list positions are available on the parent dashboard in SchoolMint.
Friday, December 19, 2025: Deadline for families to accept seats: If selected in the STEAM Lottery, parents will have until Friday, December 19, 2025, to accept or decline their seat via SchoolMint.
Lottery applicants who received a lottery seat for the 2026-2027 school year will be offered an opportunity to tour the FSA building - Date TBD

FSA Lottery Rules & Requirements

You MUST be a CURRENT resident living within the Farmington Public School District established boundaries at the time of application. If you are unsure, please see the District Street Guide to determine eligibility. Third Party Residency Affidavits (Living with someone or someplace where you are not the lease/deed holder) are NOT accepted for entry into the STEAM lottery.
The lottery application form is for the 2026-2027 school year ONLY. You MUST re-apply for the lottery each year if you are not selected. Prior year's applications will not be considered.
You will be contacted by email no later than Friday, December 12, 2025, if your child has received a spot for the 2026-2027 school year. Please do not contact the school office if you did not receive an email.
You will be able to view your seat acceptance or waiting list position for each of your students on your parent dashboard in SchoolMint.
If your child does not receive a spot, they will be put on a waiting list per grade level. As spots become available, the next name on the waiting list will be contacted. This process may continue into the summer/fall of 2026.
The District is unable to provide bus transportation for students attending Farmington STEAM Academy. Students will need to be picked up at the end of the school day unless they participate in Y Child Care (K-5) or the Y-Care After School Program (6-8).
Farmington STEAM Academy is NOT open for current or new Section 105 or Section 227 School of Choice students.
